One way to describe 2010 is back to back, and that’s a good thing. Blue Artists has been hard at work producing a roster of new music videos (stay tuned since we can’t spill the beans all at once) and producing such esteemed productions as “Breath of Life,” and “Greener by the Day.” While we’ve been busy, we picked up a few nominations that you should know about! Our music video “Tell the World,” featuring Amos Saint Jean is a premiere round nominee for Video of the Year at the 2010 BET Awards, and not only that, but a very special nod goes to Senior Producer and Director, Pierre Walters -- we’ve been informed that Pierre is a premiere round nominee for Video Director of the Year at the 2010 BET Awards as well! It’s an honor to be listed side by side with industry heavy weights Hype Williams and Chris Robinson. We’re blessed, and for those blessings, we’re grateful!

  • GMC Music Video Awards 2009:

    Blue Artists is honored to be nominated for two separate music videos, "Search My Heart" featuring Indigo, and "Tell the World" featuring Amos Saint Jean. The nominations come as a worthy end to a fantastic year of great collaborations with exceptional artists. The Gospel Music Channel will air the award ceremony in January 2010!

  • Columbia Union Story 5th Edition: Blue Artists has produced the 5th edition broadcast of the east coast regional special. This episode's focus is on "building" and features segments Building Ministries, Building Missionaries, Making Ministry Possible, and Building Leaders.

  • "The Struggle" featuring Kitty: Blue Artists has produced the dramatic new music video for hip-hop sensation Kitty for San Diego based FEDHA Entertainment. The song, which is featured on Kitty's hot new album "Lyrical Gift," is an inspirational look inside what it really means to struggle to survive.

  • Greener By the Day: We've been hard at work in post production for our independent film. To everyone involved, post-production is going very well and we'll continue to keep you updated as we move along in our schedule. Directed by Pierre Walters, the segment chronicles the life of our first African American Senate Chaplain and features his incredible insight on effective leadership skills. Blue Artists recently collaborated with the executive producers of the SONScreen Film Festival to mount the 2009 festival here in sunny Simi Valley, CA. The event took place back in April, and was a sensational hit featuring the festival’s largest turnout ever. Both studios were designed and directed by Pierre Walters culminating in the delightful Award’s Ceremony where filmmakers were recognized for their categorical achievements. This year’s festival featured the likes of Law and Order executive producer and creator Dick Wolf, as well as Christopher Erskin, director of such hits as Johnson’s Family Vacation (2004).

  • Fishnet Featurette (2007) A television featurette for Fishnet Ministries located in Front Royal, VA.
  • Fit 4 You! (2007) A featurette and satellite television news video for the Fit 4 You! fitness retreat program in Pine Forge, Pennsylvania.
  • Women’s Ministry Promotional (2007) A special promotional video for the Seventh-day Adventist Women’s Ministry global sexual purity initiative.
  • Real Word Promotional (2007) A special promotional video for “TheRealWord.org.”
  • Adventist Preaching Special Presentation (2007) Pierre Walters directs a company of actors as they portray historical speakers in the [Christian] Church for a special television program and DVD video.

Blue Artists launches "Rack Focus" featuring acclaimed writer Rashid Darden in its premiere episode. Rack Focus will be a special section of the Blue Artists Films online experience dedicated to outstanding artists and thought provoking conversations. Additionally, an audio show called SoundCheck will also make regular updates and feature candid conversations between the producing staff at Blue Artists regarding certain projects and related issues and challenges. All this coupled with an exciting new blog by Derrick Jones, exec. producer, and Rack Focus is soon to become a special place for thinkers and artists alike. Pierre Walters, Blue Artists CEO and Creative Director, will present a special seminar at the annual Society of Adventist Communicators convention, "Communication: The Notes to Perfect Harmony," in Nashville, Tenn. this October 2007. Pierre's presentation will attract a thriving audience of new film & video professionals across the country and throughout the world as they congregate at the convention featured this year at Sheraton Music City. As a rising professional in the field, Pierre will speak at length about artistic success when producing a professional video. By focusing on the four very basic steps of video production (development, pre-production, production, and post-production), Pierre will introduce his theory behind successful artistic direction. Pierre's seminar description is as follows:

Producing a professional video of any kind can be broken down into four very basic steps: development, pre-production, production, and post-production. To be successful, these steps are combined with basic direction theory to help develop the artistic eye for engaging and insightful media. Understanding how these steps integrate into your workflow will help you to accomplish professional looking video productions.

Auditions have ended, a cast list will be released in a matter of days as negotiations finalize. Blue Artists will enter principle photography for "Commercial A" on May 20. Visitor News Video #5 is currently in post-production.

Blue Artists is looking for the following types for casting in several non-union commercials to shoot this May, all roles paid:

1 - Business man or woman. Mid 40s. Must have good suit and look professional.
2 - Waiter or Waitress. Mid 20s.
3 - Bike Messenger. Male/Female. Young. Must be fit and have biking attire.
4 - Grandmother. Sweet. Matronly.

Blue Artists is in production with Visitor News Video #5, featuring the centennial anniversary of the Columbia Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. In addition, principle photography for code name "Commercial A" will be completed by May 20. Digital animation in post-production will be produced by Whiten World Works, under the artistic supervision of Britney Whiten - multi-award winning animator at the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

April 2007
Developmental and pre-production work for several May productions completed including location bookings and casting for Visitor News Video #5 and code name "Commercial A."

Production for Visitor News Video episode 3 continues in West VA until March 25. Principle photography for Columbia Union Story television program completed. Intensive post-production work through April 6. Several developmental meetings covered for projects in development. Producers participate in the Sonscreen Film Festival in Simi Valley, CA through April 15.

Winter 2006-07
Pierre Walters produces and associate directs the highly acclaimed Bethlehem Nativity Drama in the city of Takoma Park in Washington, DC for the 2006 Christmas season.
